John's first game as a professional.
John’s passion for athletics developed early when he started skating at four years old. Following his desires to achieve as much as he could in hockey he attended St. Cloud State University and skated for their Division 1 Program. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in Marketing after competing two times in the National Championship Tournament. John went on to play professional hockey for the Tampa Bay Lighting Affiliate and the Dallas Stars. After two years of pro hockey in North America he took his career overseas and played for Lillehammer in the Norwegian Elite League. Forced to retire from tearing his ACL, John moved back home. After settling in he opened CrossFit Fast Factory a division of Functional Athletic Sports Training and started MN Youth Foundation. The MNYF is a non profit organization with a goal of help young kids become more active and pursue their dreams. John's passion for CrossFit runs deep. He found CrossFit in 2006 when it was in its infancy. He started CrossFitting in his 800sq ft garage to prepare him self for his upcoming hockey seasons.
CrossFit has allowed him to continue to realize his athletic potential, and work with a wide range of people from professional athletes, military special operations unit members to his immediate family. With a passion for seeing people succeed and for athletics in general John provides a motivating and effective training atmosphere. John lives in Sartell. He enjoys all that Central Minnesota has to offer recreation-ally and looks forward to giving Central Minnesota the best training program for overall fitness all the while creating a better future for Central Minnesota Youth.
